In the far south of Costa Rica, within the Brunca region that embraces the Chirripó mountains, this coffee is grown in a serene natural setting where the land is managed with deep-rooted understanding and a pace that respects time.
This coffee originates from a family farm founded in 2005 in a small area known as Chirripó, with plantations situated at altitudes ranging from 1,200 to 1,800 meters above sea level. There, the coffee is managed through a sustainable system that focuses on ecological balance by managing shade, conducting annual soil analysis, and protecting water sources within the farm's boundaries.
The crop belongs to the Caturra variety and has undergone a Honey process, which preserves part of the fruit's sweetness and gives the coffee its balanced character and natural clarity.
In 2019, one of this farm's harvests achieved a top ranking in the Costa Rica Cup of Excellence, becoming one of the first crops from the Chirripó region to place within the top ten—a testament to how consistent care creates a difference you can taste.
